Ark Clinical Research is a multi-therapeutic clinical research site located in Long Beach, CA. Ark specializes in outpatient clinical trials in the following therapeutic areas: Asthma, Allergy, Immunology, Pulmonology, Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease/Vaccine, CNS (Mental Health), and Healthy Volunteer.
Our primary objective is to improve each patient's quality of life through the development of more effective therapies and devices. Consistently keeping our patients' well-being as top priority, we are dedicated to introducing innovative therapeutic regimens, treatments, devices, and delivery methods.

Dr. Kenneth Kim
He currently is the CEO of Ark Clinical Research, a leading research site for COVID vaccines and treatments, and the CEO of Cosmos Health Solutions, a leading provider of coronavirus testing and treatment solutions for corporate clients, government agencies, schools, and the general public. He is also a strategic investor in a variety of startups, while also maintaining a private allergy and asthma practice in southern California.
He has been featured in CNN, CNN, CNN, CNN, ABC, ABC, KTLA, ABC, ABC (Latino townhall), ABC, ABC, ABC, ABC, ABC, and Univision.
Dr. Kenneth Kim, a summa cum laude graduate of Harvard College, received his MD from Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Apinya Vutikullird
Dr. Apinya Vutikullird is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with over 14 years of clinical research experience. Dr. Vutikullird has served as a Principal Investigator in more than 125 studies and as Sub-Investigator in more than 225 studies. Dr. Vutikullird’s research expertise spans various therapeutic areas including women’s health, allergy & asthma, vaccines, Alzheimer’s, muscular dystrophy, dermatology, 24hrs telemetry and CSF collection studies, biologics/human monoclonal immunoglobulin antibody, continuous multiple-days IV infusion, and first-in-human trials.
As a Medical Monitor for the past 5 years, Dr. Vutikullird serves as a Medical Expert for clinical trials which includes advising sponsors on medical questions or problems during the conduct of a trial and ensuring the overall safety of clinical trial programs.
Dr. Justin Yanuck
Dr. Justin Yanuck, MD, MS, is a dual trained Interventional Pain Management and Emergency Medicine Physician. Dr. Yanuck completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at the University of California, Irvine, and completed his Pain Medicine training at the Harvard Massachusetts General Hospital Pain Medicine Fellowship.
Dr. Yanuck also has a Masters in Biomedical and Translational Science and has numerous peer reviewed scientific studies to his name. Dr. Yanuck continues to practice Emergency Medicine and has participated in numerous clinical research trials.
Dr. Martha Navarro
Dr. Martha Navarro, M.D. brings to ARK over 20 years of clinical practice in primary care as a Family Medicine physician. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, Fresno program and has worked in various settings from urgent care to outpatient primary care.
Her clinical experience includes treating patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. Her emphasis is in women’s health and adolescents. In January 2021, Dr. Navarro moved her area of focus to clinical research and joined the ARK Clinical Research team. She has been a clinical investigator in over 20 studies, primarily focused on Covid-19 research, treatment and vaccines.
She is fluent in Spanish and areas of interest include volunteering at her children’s school, their extra-curricular activities and sports.
Amber Mottola, NP
Amber Mottola is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Amber has been working as a Sub-Investigator at Ark Clinical Research since 2019. Amber has participated in 30+ clinical research trials primarily focusing on COVID-19 vaccinations and treatment. Amber's Nursing background includes 12+ years specializing in the Emergency Department (ED) at UCLA Medical Center and other Level 1 Trauma EDs concentrating in the Los Angeles and NYC area.
Amber has used her clinical knowledge and expertise aiding different volunteer organizations such as the NYC and LA Medical Reserve Corps, The Unaccompanied Minors at the Border and International Medical Volunteering.
